Bill, I think you are right. It could be also a var of purpureum.

Thanks Albert, I do think it is the type form for Den. purpureum but when you say it may be a varietal form of purpureum, well that doesn't help much at all unless you can tell us which form you think it might be.

Not sure where you can get one, this plant lives in England with Bernardbulbo.

Not sure where you could get one of these, not the type of Den. that I grow. Try Stockers Nursery up at Malanda.
