Bulbophyllum weberi
After checking pawpaws recent submission for an ID (node 9645), I believe (after checking Seidenfadens 'Notes on Cirrhopetalum' page 135.)that his image is B.weberi. There is a slight difference with the stelidia, but I think it could be that Seidenfaden did his drawings and studies from spirit material.
Which of course negates the name with this post. Sorry.

The plant illustrated above is not Bulbophyllum weberi
Hi bernabu,
The plant illustrated above is not Bulbophyllum weberi. A close examination of Seidenfaden's line drawing, on page 135 of his "Notes on Cirrhopetalum" shows a totally different shape to the petals. Another major difference is that the line drawings show the petals edged with short hairs. The flowers above do not have hairs edging the petals. Also the shape of the lateral sepals is very different. The shape of the dorsal sepal also differs considerably. In the drawing I notice a single hair-like setae at the apex of the dorsal sepal, this is not in the images above.

Bulbophyullum ID
Hi Jim,
I agree that this is not Bulb. weberi as it lacks the setae and short marginal hairs on the dorsal and petals.
Could it be an example of the purple-brown form of Bulb. retusiusculum?
I noticed that Seidenfaden had some trouble with the Bulb. retusiusculum complex and lumped many names together. Perhas you may have more recent information that updates his findings?
Reference: Gunnar Seidenfaden, Notes on Cirrhopetalum Lindl., 1973.
Cheers.

Bulbophyllum ID
Hi Gary,
I don't know if Seidenfaden ever followed up with his work on the Bulbophyllum retusiusculum complex. If there was any further work done I don't know where it was published.
