Bulbophyllum compressum
Edit as per discussion below.
This Bulbophyllum was purchased in April from "Orchids on Newbold". Tagged as Bulbo Unknown #5 Sumatra it probably came from Simanis Orchids, Indonesia with the code BS076 (just in case someone has done an import from Simanis themselves).
My brother's plant came on a section of black tree fern and was given brighter light and a hotter environment. It has plumped up and is growing well. My plant was on a piece of cedar and didn't seem to do anything. Both were a bit desiccated.
This plant then put out two nubs mid-rhizome which I assumed would be new growths given roots formed around the nub. It was transplanted onto a section of brown tree fern and started putting in roots. The nubs had been sitting around for about 2 months doing nothing until about sixteen days ago and I now have this flower. The spike is about 10cm high and the flowers about 10mm in diameter and with a 15mm stem from the main spike.
If anyone has a name for it I'd be grateful.

Bulbophyllum
I think I might have some info on this one somewhere. It shouldn't be too hard to trace. This is one of the species with roots from each node along the rhizome.

Bulbo sp.
Jon from orchidsinteractive.com advises that this is Bulbo compressum.

Bulbophyllum compressum
Hi JK, Jon's identification of your plant is correct. Gen distribution includes: Java,
Borneo, Sumatra and Sulawesi. The inflorescence can be between 9.5 - 16cm long wih up to 18 - 30 white flowers, distinctly fragrant and somewhat spicy.
