Bulbophyllum graveolens Rolfe 1905
Synonym: Cirrhopetalum robustum

Bulbophyllum graveolens is a large growing species from New Guinea which is also known as Cirrhopetalum robustum. A large basket is ideal, use a rich media as the plants can be semiterrestrial or rock growing in their native habitat. When in growth, use lots of water and fertiliser.
Bulbophyllum graveolens is a warm grower and will need a bright sunny position. The spike is quite robust and the flower head can measure 10 inches (25cm) or more across.

As well as the rich aroma they also bring a cheerful atmosphere to the shadehouse when they are in flower.
