Dendrobium spatella Rchb.f., Hamburger Garten- Blumenzeitung 21: 298 (1865).
Distribution: E. Himalaya to S. China and Pen. Malaysia.
Originally submitted as Dendrobium acinaciforme.
The name change is based on the Kew Monocot List and on the following publications.
