Dendrobium aloifolium
Flowers are approximately 2mm x 4mm
This plant arrived in a package from Pawpaw; the flowers are so small I thought it was a small styrene bubble.
I suspect I have been stitched up by Pawpaw and Wellsy to see if I could capture the detail.
Ok guys what is your next challenge?
PS I have run out of film in the camera

Tiny but beautiful Jean.

Could you?
Jean, could you post a close up of the anther and pollinia as my eye sight is a bit poor. Other than that a wonderful photo I suppose you got it first go?
Pawpaw
Need more film
Pawpaw
Sorry I cant as I have run out of film in the digital camera.
Your wish
Pawpaw
You will need poor eyesight to see past the distortion. It’s rather minute hence the distortion.
Joking apart
Jean, your three pictures are superb and are proof and reward for your photographic skills. The image of Dendrobium aloifolium in the middle picture is exquisite.

Credit where credit is due.
Thank you bernabu
At the end of the day the credit for the improvement in my photos belongs to wellsy. He has been very patient with emails back and forth helping me with the settings on the camera. If it wasn’t for him I was about to give up and the camera was destined for the bin.
teacher
You are lucky to have a teacher with patience, I wish I could call on his skills for when my R.digbyana comes in flower within the next few days. I would love to be able to capture the fine threads on the fimbriate lip.

That's magic
What a weird and wonderful Dendrobium
Full marks for your photography Jean - I know how hard and frustrating it can be to capture a subject that is so small
Well done again!
