Bulbophyllum levanae var. levanae is a showy, strong growing species from the Philippines. The spikes bear up to 3 flowers each to 6 cm long, glossy orange red, the hinged lip is dark red. Bulbophyllum levanae var. levanae is a compact clumping type that will grow into a specimen in a basket or large shallow pot/tray. It also does well on treefern slabs given extra water.
Lots of water and fertiliser when in growth, and it will tolerate a lot of sunlight which improves the flowering effort. A warm to intermediate grower.
