Xerosicyos danguyi
Originally submitted as Dischidia sp. ID as per discussion below.
The friend that gave me this plant told me it comes from Madagascar. I have it growing in a pot where it gets full sun from 11am to sunset. the leaves are around 30mm in diameter and about 4mm thick.

Madagascar?
Eric, this looks like Australian native Dischidia nummularia. See page 122 of Australian Succulent Plants an introduction by Attila Kapitany (this book available from Attila, emai: geko@connexus.net.au also see www.australiansucculents.com)
I dont think
West, looked up the web site and I agree that the one on it like the post put up on the 21/4/2009 wellsy is Dischidia nummullaria. I have it growing also. The above Dischidia has leaves at least 3 times the size and as long as I have had it is always green in color. The stem is thick and very stiff to bend compared to Dischidia nummullaria that I have seen growing around my area which are always silvery and have soft stems which lends it to be partially pendant in growth. This and the size of my plant makes me think that it is not Dischidia nummullaria. I could be wrong, will try to find a name from the person I got it from.
