Distribution: Central America, Venezuela, Peru and Brazil

Barbosella is comprised of about 20 species widespread from Central America to Southern Brazil. They are miniature plants which either form tufts or creeping masses. They are generally found at high elevations and should be grown in a cool to intermediate environment under the same conditions as Masdevallia.
