Distribution Sumatra. This unnamed and unusual species is in section Cirrhopetalum, the inflorescence emerges from the new developing leaf and bulb, very much like B.wendlandianum, another unusual feature is that there are only two flowers.
The dorsal sepal and petals are very dark and have black hairs around the edges, altogether an oddity.
