Vanda merrillii
Distribution: Philippines
Medium sized plant which grows vigorously into a multitrunked specimen when grown well.
Flowers to 5 cm, lacquered chinese red and yellow. A typical strap leaf vanda, a basket with an open well drained media and lots of water and fertiliser when growing will produce the showy yellow and red lacquered flowers.

How old would plant be ??
25-30 years old
25-30 years old Jean but it has been severed a couple of times to pass on pieces to friends.
It has grown much better since I gave it a few wires to climb and the flowers are now becoming better displayed.
