Bulbophyllum sp
Bernard, you have failed me, I can't believe you don't know the name of this one!!!!!!!!!lol

Bulbophyllum sp
Bill, sec Cirrhopetalum in Bulbophyllum has, at present, over 100 species. Many named incorrectly and of course, newly discovered species continue to be added. I know a taxonomist who is dreading having to work on this section, there are just so many look-alikes, some with just minute differences, enough to be seperated from another species.
We have already seen some rationalisation on species from this section. For example, in the last couple of days we have discussed on this site two species that have been combined. Bulbophyllum's roxburghii and sikkimense.
I firmly believe that if you don't know the name of a plant, you should say so, this saves problems for future references.

tongue firmly in his cheek
I think you are absolutely correct Bernard. If the identity is unknown....why not say so.
I also think Bill had his tongue firmly in his cheek when he talked about how surprised he was you did not know what it was. He (and all of us here) know only too well how incredible is the depth of your knowledge when it comes to all things Bulbo.

Steve, I know Bill was winding me up( he's very good at that), but I thought that it was a good opportunity to explain the difficulties within this section to other members, who perhaps don't know how difficult it is sometimes, to resolve the identity of some species.

Bulbo names
Yep, I was pulling your leg Bern, I do know how hard they are to identify, most people that don't grow Bulbophyllums wouldn't know how complex this genus is.
