Bulbophyllum lobbii

Bulb. lobbii, I had the first flower open on this plant yesterday morning, and by mid afternoon it was closing up again, does anyone know if this is normal for this species.

For the first few days of flowering, some bulbophyllums like B.lobbii, will close early afternoon, this is quite normal.

Bulbophyllum basisetum
My Bulbophyllum basisetum is in flower now. It opens in the morning as it warms up and closes in the evening as it cools down.

Jultz, is it possible for you to post an image here of your B.basisetum? it is not often seen.
