Original submission as Bulbophyllum inunctum or membranifolium?

Bulbophyllum rogusum

Bulbophyllum

This one looks like a very light coloured membranifolium also the petals look to be slightly longer than normal. Otherwise it looks to be at least 90% membranifolium, it lacks the firmness of the flower parts and doesn't look to be glabrous enough; could well be a cross between these two species (B.inunctum and B.membranifolium). Herein lies the difficulty when trying to appraise a species from an image, there is a lack of depth, size and perspective.

B.hybrid

The more I look at this image, the more convinced I am that it is a cross between the two species mentioned. The flowers of B.inunctum are very lax and this feature has been passed on to this cross.

B. hybrid

Hi Bernabu...

Thanks for your help, but it is wild collected sp...from Sabah.
Or maybe natural hybrid between inuctum and membranifolium.

regards,

zul.

Bulbophyllum rugosum

Hi Zul, Your plant has now been identified as B.rugosum, found in Sabah, Sarawak and Kalimantan, and can be distinguished from B.membranifolium by it's spreading lateral sepals and the shape of the lip which has a median slit and is without any verrucae on the upper surface.
