Lovely picture Steve, has this flower just opened? the lip which normally opens up fully looks as thought its stuck somehow?

it's a first flowering
it's a first flowering seedling and looks like that's about as good as it is going to get Bernard. I'll take more photos if it gets better though.

You've done well, I never seem to be able to grow this species, and several growers I know also have difficulties with it.

I agree! This one is quite old and has sat around sulking for years until it has suddenly decided to take off.
