Bulbophyllum makoyanum

I thought I would post these two photos to add to the confusion of Wellsy Bulb. unknown ( EDIT: see here http://orchidsonline.com.au/node/1260 ) the top photo I got from Burleigh Park as Bulb. makoyanum and the bottom photo I got from G. Stocker as a sp.from Java. I also have a plant bought from Dark Star orchids exactly like wellsy also called bulb. majohanne

Hi pawpaw. The top image looks like B.brienianum, and the other looks like B.makoyanum.

Pawpaw, I remember this Bulb. majohannae, tracked it down to a forum somewhere in Europe and they couldn't identify it.
This is the funny part (my sense of humour) you got yours from Burleigh Park and they exported it to Europe. Hans from Dark Star has imported it from Europe and brought it back to Australia. That's what I call well travelled!!!!!!!!
I think we should separate your photos to Bernard's ID's, brienianum and makoyanum.

pawpaw, Do you agree with Bills suggestion that we should show these two species separately? It would certainly tidy up the Bulbophyllum gallery.

bernabu, yes I agree with you and Bill. Admin. should go ahead and separate the two species. I've been a bit slack in looking up some of the old posts lately.
