AKA????
Horst, I'm a little lost with the "also registered as" (AKA) names, Sc's Boreli, Roeblingii and Violetta, the parentage of these plants is not the same as Sc. C. G. Roebling.

Mmmmmm
Nice luscious lip!!!
C. gaskelliana x S. purpurata
On the RHS grex name search I type in gaskelliana as the seed parent and purpurata as the pollen parent.
As the result shows up:
Sophrocattleya
Boreli
C. G. Roebling
Roeblingii
Violetta (1897)
And all of them have C. gaskelliana x S. purpurata as parents.

Got me!!!!!!
Sorry Horst, don't know what I did but couldn't find those names the other day when I looked for them, I'll just put that down to having a WELLSY MOMENT!!!!!! lol
C. G. Roebling and Roebling, both registrations by S. in 1895 look like a data entry error.
Boreli 1898 and Violetta 1897 are valid registrations, remember it was all hand raised back then.
Good to see you have used Sc. C. G. Roebling because of the earlier registration of this crossing as your plant name.
For everyone, this is not a one off thing, it happens in other genus as well.
