The way you have written this above is a jumble of names, you have a species name starting with upper case, hybrid name with both upper and lower case and X's that do not tell me what the actual order the plant crossings took place.
Could you tell me where the crossings are, plant X plant XX plant X plant or is it plant X plant XX plant XXX plant????????
Remember, species plant names start with LOWER CASE, hybrid names start with UPPER CASE.

Paph label
Sorry Bill, I didnt know about species and hybrids starting with capitals, just me using capitals for names as is good english. Anyway, the names are in the order that they appear on the label, which is written in pencil, I will go over them exactly as written, in ink so that I can get a photo and post that as a blog.
Dave
NO NO!!!
Slow down Dave, species names are written in lower case like this (only example) Dendrobium nindii.
Hybrid names are written like this (only example) Cattleya Black Dog.
All that is Dave is standard World Naming Convention.
Part 2
There is nothing wrong with the order your names are written, it is where the X's are that is the problem.
If the first two names are bracketed the X is fine, it tells me that is one plant. If plant names 3 and 4 are bracketed, that tells me that is another plant.
I'm not trying to be a pain about this Dave, what you learn today will save you a lot of trouble in years to come if you ever decide to do some breeding.
Probably best if you can post a photo of the label, the names don't matter, we need to see the X's and whether there are any plants bracketed on your label.

Dave has submitted photo of label here http://orchidsonline.com.au/node/4448
Thanks Davo
We can fix this plant name up for you Dave.
There are two accepted ways of writting plant labels, it's your own choice which way you prefer.
Paph. fairrieanum x Ambersham xx Venture x Marion Fischer
or
Paph. (fairrieanum x Ambersham) x (Venture x Marion Fischer)
Ok, now we have what the label should have been written as, it's not over yet. The crossing of Venture onto Marion Fischer was registered by S. Condon in 1998 as Paph. Pathfinder Union.
Your up to date label should read Paph. fairrieanum x Ambersham xx Pathfinder Union or if you prefer Paph. (fairrieanum x Ambersham) xx Pathfinder Union.
Dave, I will edit the heading plant name to what we prefer here at Orchids Online so it fits into the Book Page format, how you label your plant at home is up to you.
Bill
Thanks Bill
Thank you for all this advise, as a novice I really appreciate all your help and knowledge. I do have one more plant with confusion over the name maybe you can help me with. I have a Phalaenopsis labelled Minho princess, parent plants - Taisuco hatarot x Taisuco beauty. When I checked this on the Rhs site, that parentage gave me - Doritaenopsis taisuco honey, registered by Taiwan sugar in 1993. Should I re-label the plant with the latter. Thanks again Bill. Will post an image when its correctly labelled.

Dave, I think I've worked out your problem with this, just need to see a photo of the label to be sure.
If you can post the photo with heading Phal. label, nothing else needed, I'll link it here.

Thanks for the label photo Dave, blew my easy fix out of the window.
The only way you are going to get the correct name for this one is to go back to the source of the plant, ask the grower.
Strange that there are names on both sides of the label, we don't see a lot of this but some growers do it.
If you bought the plant as Minho Princess, the grower may have written the name on the front of the label and has not noticed he had other names on the other side. Or the parent plants on the back of the label are correct and he has simply put the wrong name on the front.
I hope you know who the grower is, if so, you should get the correct name.

Thanks Bill, I actually bought this plant from the sale table at the EDOS orchid show over a year ago, so not much of a chance there.
