Cattleya intermedia

Cattleya intermedia var. flamea marginata

This plant combines two varieties and has a new detail brought in to the Cattleya intermedia world.
This flower is flamea and marginata. Marginata not only on the lip, but also on the sepals. And that's new!

Cattleya intermedia

Any difference????

Horst, what's the difference between aquinii and flamea? The one above looks similar to aquinii.

Aquinii versus flamea

Migocab,
Sorry, I did not see your question until today. Still today I will post a picture of the original plant which was registered as Cattleya aquinii in 1891.
**1) aquinii >>>This is similar to the original aquini plant found and registered in 1891. The indent is strong. The dark color pattern on the tip of the petals and the stripes in the center of the petals are present and should be solid and matching the lip in pattern and color.
**2) flâmea >>>On this variety the color pattern on the tip of the petals doesn't draw a distinct line or is not solid. Some times the petals have no indent sometimes they have an indent, but usually not as strong as on the aquinii variety.

Amazing

Wow!!!! such a beauty......This one really amaze me Horst.
