not an expert

Hey Albert I'm not setting myself up as an expert with Phallies at all. It just looks like what I know as the darker (pinker) phal. schilleriana. all the Phal. stuartiana's I have known are white with the distinct spotting.

Confusion

There has always been identification problems between P.schilleriana, which used to have five varieties recognised and P.stuartiana, which had four varieties recognised. Since rationalisation of certain genera and species, most varieties have been absorbed into the main type species.
There is no doubt that these two species are closely related they are both are from the Philippines. The difference between the two is the distinct colouration of P.schilleriana and by the shape of the lip callus between the base side lobes, subquadrate, truncate.
On the P.stuartiana lip the callus between the side lobes is bilobulate, fleshy, lobules acutely pointed behind.
It is not surprising that confusion arises from time to time between the different sizes, shape and colour forms of the previous varieties of these two species. Indeed, P.stuartiana has been treated by some authers as a variety of P.schilleriana
For identification of the image shown, I would lean towards P schilleriana until of course the callus issue can be determined.
