Diuris chryseopsis D.L.Jones, Austral. Orchid Res. 3: 74 (1998).
Previously known as D. lanceolata. I grow this in a mix of 50/50 medium grade Perlite and peat in full sun with minimal watering.

Diuris
Hello West, Diuris lanceolata is still a valid name and is not a Synonym for Diuris chryseopsis.
Is this entry Diuris lanceolata????

I'm all confused about these Diuris. I bought this one labeled as lanceolata, but then was told by experts that it is chryseopsis. I can not tell the difference between the photos of lanceolata, chryseopsis or behrii. I don't mind which it is as long as we get a consensus.

Hello West, some of these yellow Diurus are a nightmare, I'm not sure if anyone knows the difference between them if there really is a difference or just dual Botanical Identifications.
You bought your plant as Diuris lanceolata from a terrestrial trader then I would be inclined to keep that plant as purchased.
I am very suspicious of this plant Diuris chryseopsis identified by D. L. Jones in 1998.

Keep the label
I agree with Bill. Keep the label information for now and see if you can come up with a description of Diuris chryseopsis. Post it here if you find one.

Diuris
Greetings Wellsy,
The only reference I can find is the one you gave above as: Diuris chryseopsis D.L.Jones, Austral. Orchid Res. 3: 74 (1998). It gives its distribution as NSW, Vic, Tas and SA and its flowering period as August to October. Mine is in flower now as in photo here.
Interestingly on page 75 it states that D lancelata is endemic to Tasmania and that its flowering period is November to January.
I was told that my plant is originally from Victoria.
Not berhii
Definitely NOT a behrii West.
Agree not behrii
Greetings Anton,
I agree that my Diuris in photo above is not behrii as according to Australia Orchid Research page 76, behrii is said to be more robust (plants to 50cm tall) with larger flowers (to 50mm across).
My Diuris is only 21cm tall and the flower is 30mm across.

Hi West, who is the author of the book or page 75 if multi authors please?????
Bill
Diuris
Australian Orchid Research Volume 3 contains "Contributions to Tasmanian Orchidology 1-9 by David L. Jones". Specifically chapter "4: A Taxonomic Review of Diuris in Tasmania ....pp72-85"

Hi West, thanks for that info, having D. L. Jones as the author doesn't make things any clearer for me.
I gather you have the book and you know more about these plants than I, it's your call how you want your plant listed, both names are valid for NSW, VIC and TAS as per the Monocot List.
