Cattleya intermedia var. aquinii
In the South of Brazil the new Cattleya intermedia season is starting.
A little earlier as usual. The Winter wasn't a real Winter.
The plants start to bloom 7 to 10 days earlier, as they would do after a normal Winter. This might also jeopardize the flower quality. In order to bloom in a perfect shape this species need a normal nasty Winter with rain and cold weather.
During the next 5 to 6 weeks I want to show to you pictures of most of the many different varieties this species can offer. In advance, as teasers, I will post some pictures from last year.
