This unnamed cross flowers annually in my garden (Tropical North QLD)around the middle of the year. I presume it was never named but it has become a very strong plant with plenty of flowers

Hi papillon, this looks very much like my Chtra.Ruth Murai one of 3 different colors forms I have. Its a cross between Aerides lawrenceae and Ascda. Yip Sum Wah. This hybrid was done by Furumizo in 1975 Pawpaw

Thanks pawpaw. That's good to know - it's frustrating when there are plants for sale that are annonymous and certainly this orchid is very different from other Aerides I know.

It would be good if you could post a front on shot of one flower Papillon for a better look at this beauty.
