Rotten Stench
Are fowl smelling bulbos pollinated by blowflies?
Undoubtedly
Many flowers from different flora are pollinated by blowflies. Most are flesh coloured and smell of rotten flesh, to attract various pollinators (mainly blowflies). Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis has gone further by having small appendages on the flower parts that simulate maggots writhing in meat. B.fletcherianum and to a lesser extent B.echinolabium have a similar odour and are also flesh coloured for the same purpose.
