Cattley labiata - species type form
This is the species type form which is prevalent in their natural habitat. In the case of Cattleya labiata, it is a light to medium lavender on the sepals and petals.
The lip color is purple. The standard pattern for the Cattleya labiata lip is a full colored purple frontal lobe, with a small rim of a lighter lavender. The rim color always matches the color of the sepals and petals.
The base of the throat is yellow and has purple veins coming from deep inside the throat, merging with the purple front lobe.
At the side lobes right where they start to form the tube, are located two white spots. These spots can have different shapes, can be bigger or smaller or even merge in the middle to make one white spot...dividing the purple stripes from the purple spot on the front lobe.
