Cattleya Irmgard Eisele 'Junge Liebe'

Cattleya Irmgard Eisele 'Junge Liebe'

Hybrid formula: Cattleya Love Fresh x C. Francis T.C. Au
Flower size: 9.3 cm

Name edits as per RHS Registrations, original submission below.

(Sc. Beaufort x L. briegerii) C. Francis>

This is one of my own creation. We pollinated a cross in between Sc. Beaufort and L.briegerii with the alba clone C.Francis TC AU.
Most siblings are more or less 4 inch in size, have a similar color pattern and 50% of them are well shaped.

Welcome to OOL Horst. You'll notice your original submission has been changed slightly, all submissions are checked by the site admins, species-Monocot List, hybrids-RHS Registrations. If you think we have anything wrong, please let us know.

That is a very nice eye catching cross you have done, are you going to register your work????

register my work

Bill,

After going trough all my photos from this cross I think you are right.
This cross should be registered.

Actually I have more crosses which should be registered, but I am having trouble to get information from the RHS website.
In 9 out of 10 requests i am getting this phrase as the surge result "No record in database, please alter your search selection".

As an example I tried to get the parentage of Sophrocattleya Love Fresh in about 10 attempts 9 failed to give me an answer. Only one time I could get it.

Later I tried 5 more plant names of plants I am certain that they are registered. All I got was the 'no record' message.

Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have to be a member to be able to get this kind of information?

Thank's for changing my submission.

RHS

Horst,
The RHS has changed a lot of names for the Cattleya group and your Love Fresh may be RSC (Rhyncholaelia x Sophronitis x Cattleya) or simply SC. Try giving only the Hybrid name without the genus. Yes, I found it: Sc (Sophrocattleya) Love Fresh (Sophrocattleya Beaufort x Sophronitis briegeri). It has 10 awards from AOS, a nice yellow with red lip. Hope this helps.

Bad input

Horst, it's usually bad input is why you are getting the nasty message from RHS, the Grex Epithet has to be precise.

Try going into Grex Name Search, leave Genus blank, put in the name you want info for in the Grex field, leave "exact match" blank, hit search.

Give that a go for starters.

Thank you both Bill and tbaenziger!!!!
It works much better now. I did get a lot of information about the new names for the different species, as well as about the orchid registers.
