Spathoglottis Gold Tower

A cross I did to try and get the number of flowers out like Spa. affinis with the size of Spa. kimballiana var. angustifolia. I get around 8 flowers out at any one time compared to Spa. affinis's 10 and size is comparable to Spa. kimballiana var. angustifolia. It flowers late in the season (May - June) and looses its leaves like Spa. affinis where as Spa. kimballiana var. angustifolia has only 3 flowers out at any one time and is an evergreen plant.

Yes Wellsy I have been busy since 1998. Lost count but have flowered about 20 different crosses

I've registered 3 Spa. Gold Tower, Hearts Blood and Star Burst. I was beaten by a couple of months by the Singapore Bot. Gardens for another.......Spa. Lion of Singapore. There are a few others but just have not got around to it. Will post some of my plants and ones a friend has done . He has been doing hybrids longer than me.
