Rhynchostylis gigantea 'Red'

Hi Wellsy,
I had the same plant, same beautiful noble-looking Red color. It's gone, too! After the bloom, it left!
May be it could not tolerate heat during winter [ too dry!] I only water it once weekly!

Now, I had 2 others, but not as same beautiful red-color, darker like "Burgandy"/ Maroon! I water them daily. I did not put any potting mix, except the clay pot, or the wooden basket. Recently, one nursery in Hawai suggested that the Rhynchostylis does not tolerate potting media?
