Sophrocattleya Gila Wilderness 'Cactus Flower'
Unfortunately this beauty has almost no scent but is a delight to behold.

Hello Sibbie, this is different!!!!!
Over the years I have flowered many clones of Gila Wilderness and have not been very impressed with them, this one of yours 'Cactus Flower' must be the pick of the crop, fantastic colour contrast.
Bill
Thanks Bill!
Interesting you should say that as I have a friend who has been growing orchids 30 yrs plus and when he saw this plant in my shadehouse (not in flower at the time) he said he had always been disappointed in their cabbagey, floppy flowers. It may be naturally a bit floppy though as you can see I tie it up straight as it comes into flower.
I love it - so unusual and cheerful.
Sibbie.
