B.wenlandianum
Ken, your somewhat indistinct image is not of B.wenlandianum, it looks like it could be a hybrid with B.Kalimpong. If we had a clearer picture with some measurement details we could be more definite with the name.

bulbo wendlandianum
only have the one photo was taken many years ago, before digital unfortunately and of course the plant is no longer in my possesion
Ken
What to do??
Wellsy, help, what do we do with this one???????
Can't see the photo.
Whatever!!!!!!!!
This photo was taken about 25 to 28 years ago,,I do not know when Bulbo Kalimpong was hybridised or when it first flowered.
Some of the photos I will be submitted will not be of super quality as you took the photo and by the time it was developed the flower was long gone.
However if only quality photos are required please let me know before I waste my time submiting anymore and you may do as you wish with B wendlandianum.
No problem.
Ken.
Bulbophyllum sp or hybrid ??
Ken, Please don't take my comments as a criticism. I am trying to be helpful when I ask you for further details to enable me to identify your image. B.Kalimpong was registered in 1977 by G.Pradham and is a cross with B.guttulatum and B.putidum. ( G.Pradham insists on naming B.putidum as B.ornatissimum ). I was pleased with my results when I changed to digital, it has been so much easier to take and record images. Do you still grow Bulbophyllums?

I did'nt take your comment as criticism as I am as keen as you to have the correct name on the plant even though I no longer have it.
My comment was to whoever said the photo was not very clear and my question still stands as some of my photos are not super standard and if that is what is required then I shall not waste my time submitting them.
I don't know where I bought the orchid but it could have been the early eighties but I had an extensive library about 200 to 250 books which I no longer have including Pradham and Seidenfadden et al so research would have been done.
I sold the bulk of my collection about 15 years ago and the rest went about 12 months ago,I have about 20/30 growing a la natural in the garden and they flower quite well, they are just finishing, will take photos next year and post.
Ken
Glad to hear
Glad to hear you are still growing some orchids and look forward to seeing your next years images. If you think that some of your current images are easily recognizable, by all means post them and we will try and identify them (if necessary). PS..wish I could grow my orchids outdoors.

Sorry Ken if my comment to Wellsy on this photo upset you.
We don't expect super quality photos and it doesn't matter if they were taken 28 years ago or yesterday, we do expect that the photos are clear and recognizable to people around the world.
