Dendrobium hasseltii

I took this (not very good) image whilst at the Royal Edingbrough Botanic Gardens. This warm growing species is found at around 3000 meters altitude, distribution Malaysia, Java and Sumatra. Forms fairly large clumps with the canes up to 2.5ft long. Up to 7 x 1.5" flowers on the old leafless canes. Colour variable from nearly blue to purple.
