Bulbophyllum exaltatum Lindl., Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 10: 186 (1842).
Distribution: Venezuela, Guyana and Northern Brazil.
Warm growing. There are quite a few species in section Didactyle including this species, they are all similar vegatively and in the flower presentation and form. Bulbophyllum exaltatum can have bright red bands across the sepals which, if close together can make the 1/2" flowers seem red. The lip is strongly marked and highly mobile.
