Paphiopedilum hirsutissimum (Lindl. ex Hook.) Stein, Orchid.-Buch: 470 (1892).
Distribution: India, Thailand and Burma
The specific epithet was given by John Lindley for the very hairy flower stalk, pedical, ovary , bract and outer surface of the sepals. Flower up to 10 - 15cm across. Helmet-shaped lip,3.5-5cm long.
