Miltonia clowesii is one of the Brazillian species of Miltonias which can be grown under intermediate conditions as opposed to Miltonias from the Colombian Andes which supposedly need cooler conditions similar to those in which Odontoglossums are kept. It was named after John Clowes who was the first to acheive flowering in Europe.
