Dendrobium johnsoniae F.Muell., S. Sci. Rec. 2: 95 (1882).
Distribution: New Guinea Bismarck Archipelaego to Solomon Islands
Dendrobium johnsoniae is in the Latourea section of Dendrobium. This species bears large interesting white flowers to 7 cm, lip with some purple markings. A smaller grower which is a lowland plant mostly found on Casuarina species (but not always). Keep evenly moist (not soggy wet) so as not to risk the roots dying and then rotting in the pot. This is a very desirable plant in any collection due to the plant being small and it carrying a large number of beautiful flowers.
