Bulbophyllum membranifolium (lip)
I wanted to show the very warty lip of this species. You can also see the strap or ligament attached to the column-foot and lip which allows it to rock backwards and forwards (helped by the insect alighting on it). Note also the broad stelidia on either side of the column.

Is my imagination running away with me? I looked at this image again and saw a man bent over in supplication, arms outstretched, looking over a hot molten lava flow. No no its just one of natures wonderful creations.
