Bulbophyllum membranifolium Hook, F. 1890
Distribution: W. Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra and the Philippines
So named because of the rather thin textured leaves. Found in podzolic forest also swampy forest. Epiphyte on branches and trunks of small trees. This species shows more variability in colour than most Bulbophyllums. Single flowers up to 1" long. Lip recurved, thick, with 2 rounded ridges in the basal half, tip rounded, adxial surface warty towards the tip, ridges hirsute.
