Dendrobium bullenianum

Dendrobium bullenianum Rchb.f., Bot. Zeitung (Berlin) 20: 214 (1862).

Synonym: Dendrobium topaziacum Ames, Orchidaceae 5: 140 (1915)

Distribution: Philippines

Dendrobium bullenianum is a member of the Pedilonum section Of Dendrobium. It bears bottle brush type clusters of orange flowers, labellum striped red, borne along the leafless canes.

Dendrobium bullenianum is a very colourful species, a large robust grower, and is very tolerant of growing conditions.

A small pot or basket with a media that stays damp but not wet and ample water and fertiliser when in active growth will produce long canes. Maximum sunlight short of leaf burn encourages full flowering.
