Bill, What can one say about this orchid, its supurb with a lovely shape and the colour is so unusual, is it grey, black or blue or a combination of all three colours. What size are the flowers and how many?

Yes Bern, it's a real eye catcher.
This photo is about 3 or 4 years old, from memory it is about 80 cm across and carried 10 to 12 flowers.It has been a very shy flowerer.
It is in spike now so I will get a better photo and be able to measure it for you.
Pity your not out here in Australia Bern, this flower is magnificent in sunlight!!!!!!
