Appendicula

Appendicula Blume 1825 has more than eighty species which are divided into five sections. They found from the Himalayas through SE Asia and Indonesia to New Guinea to New Caledonia. Appendicula is derivated from the Latin, appendicula (little appendix). This describes the appendiculate calluses of the lip. Most species form large, close tufts of stems and have white, green-yellow or red uninteresting flowers.
