Distribution: Myanmar, Thailand
This beautiful species is found growing epiphytically at between 200 to 1500m and best grown in a warm to hot and humid environment with plenty of light. It produces 3-5 ornate flowers from the base of new growths which are usually displayed to perfection.
Give it heaps of water and fertilizer when in growth but reduce watering and cease fertilizing in cooler months.

Hi Wellsy. Nice picture and an unusual yellow background colour on the flower parts. Some growers confuse this species with B.rothschildianum, which flowers on the previous years bulb and as you know B.wenlandianum flowers at a different time and on the new developing bulb.
