Cattleya forbesii is one of the smaller growing Brazilian bifoliate Cattleyas. This species can grow to be a robust plant requiring a large well drained pot or basket, good ventilation and sunlight.

The media should be open, apply adequate water and fertiliser when growing, and cut water when the plant rests after flowering. Cattleya forbesii is a warm to intermediate grower.
