Cattleya trianae bears flowers to 15cm, usually in pairs, on a robust pseudobulb with a single labiate leaf. The labiate Cattleyas are best grown in a well drained pot or basket. The media should be open so that it does not stay wet.

Cattleya trianae requires a warm to intermediate climate and when growing, should be fertilised and watered adequately. When not in growth, drier conditions should prevail.
