dots on petals
Khairimhd and others,
I've read that those dots simulate aphids to attract pollinators. What do y'all (I'm from Texas) think?

Calling Paph. growers
Ok all you Paph. growers out there, can anyone answer this question above, I can't, haven't got a clue.

Dots on petals
I'm not sure what the pollinator is, some kind of wasp that lays eggs on the aphids, I guess, but there must be a reason why these Paphs produce black spots (bumps, signals), otherwise why bother? Has anyone done any research on the issue?

I'm not sure about the answer to this but if you open the link to the site it might help you answer your question.
