Found at between 500-1000m as a medium sized epiphyte. Brassia gireoudiana is grown like a typical Oncidium, in a small pot in a well drained media. Plenty of sunlight, copious water and fertiliser when in active growth and good ventilation are the requirements for most Brassias and Oncidiums.

A Central American species which bears fragrant, long lasting flowers and is very adaptable to the orchid house.
