Brassavola nodosa is known as Lady of the night because of its night time fragrance. It is easily grown on either a mount or a shallow well drained pot or basket, it requires typical Cattleya conditions.

A treefern slab is ideal, and plants will clump into quite large specimens. If grown in a pot or basket, ensure a media is well drained. Brassavola nodosa is a warm to intermediate grower, but like most of this genus, is very amenable to orchidhouse culture.
