Bifrenaria harrisoniae (Hook. F.) Reichb.f.
Country: Southern Brazil
Bifrenaria harrisoniae is a medium size, pseudobulbous plant with one large apical leaf. Each flowering pseudobulb bears one or two 6cm flowers which are waxy and long lasting. The magnificently marked lip is hairy.
Flowers are produced on a stem which arises from the base of the psuedobulb in spring and early summer. They are fragrant, waxy and very long lasting.
