This plant just bloomed for me. It was labelled as Bulbophyllum sp 'Irian Jaya'. It looks a lot like Bulbophyllum restrepia but at least twice bigger. If anyone has any clue what this is, I'll be glad to amend the name.

Vincent I think you might be right with the name Bulb. restrepia. As for the size it might be the way you are growing it or maybe a superior clone whichever way I wouldn't mind haveing one in my collection. Do you have a photo of the flower from the front?

Hey,
There are some differences between the 2. I will do some measurements when i get the time. It is also very hard to shoot the flower from front as they do not open much and my camera always go off-focus...but the again, i'll try since thi flower last quite a while.
Bulbo
Vincent/Eric, I don't think that this is B.restripia, the lateral sepals are shaped differently, and are too long. Also, the texture of the sepals don't fit with restripia.

Comparison
I have this one and B restrepia. The B. sp. "Irian Jaya" is easily twice the size plant wise. See here http://orchidsonline.com.au/node/11351
