Paphiopedilum philippinense

The species Paphiopedilum philippinense as it's name implies, is found in The Philippines. Plants have also been found growing on the nearby island of Borneo.

Taxonomists have long disagreed on the identities of plants within this complex. Paphiopedilum elliotianum, Paphiopedilum laevigatum, Paphiopedilum palawanense are a couple more names bandied around as species, though given a lumper a chance, all will be called Paph. philippinense.
