Cattleya Rosella Bells
C. Princess Bells x C. Lana Coryell
This is a first flowering seedling from February this year. I divided the plant in half when repotting. The second flower is from the division half that hadn't flowered.
Interesting result I believe.

Nice
Very nice too, Roy, good shape flowers for a first flowering. Well done.

Difference
Roy,
I find it hard to believe that this is the same plant, I would say that the 2 plants are just that. What has most likley happened is that somewhere from flasking onwards the 2 plants grew as one, you then made the division and now have 2 totally different flowers.
Where does the 'Cultiver" name 'Chime' come from and what plant does it refer to?
Warren
Name
Warren, you're correct, most likely 2 seedlings in the pot and only when both flowered the difference was found.
C. Rosella Bells is the registered name of the cross by Rosella Orchids. The 'Chimes' is the cultivar name I gave it. Fits well with the Rosella Bells. Its the pink flower, I haven't decided on a name for the white one yet.
